The weakest part in the development of Focusing is still its integration into social structures. Although AND Gendlin originally planned to integrate a broad level in all social spheres, we can say that the dream is not yet realized. Currently Focusing is practiced largely in a therapeutic and teaching, in academia, is almost exclusively within psychology programs.

The lower right quadrant, or one that represents, in the AQAL diagram, forms and social structures, we can see and question this aspect of our development.

Consider first the presence of Institute Focusing internationally. Members of the Focusing Institute, psychologists, teachers, practitioners and coordinators, are distributed in several countries around the world. It is from these Focusing organizations that can swarm, flourish and reach all of what Gendlin and Wilber called the "global village". Some initiatives already pointing at the international level: Focusing integrated into an organization dedicated to sustainable development in Ecuador, the teaching of Focusing in cities, villages and communities in Afghanistan, El Salvador, Haiti ...

The next step will undoubtedly be one of greater openness to other disciplines: human management, health, education, communication, organizational models, research, etc.. We know that in all these disciplines, Focusing on integrating models are being developed.
